Rhiannon Stokes
Rhiannon Stokes is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist and Expert Witness with over 29 years in the health, social care, and rehabilitation sectors. Known for her balanced, insightful approach, Rhiannon provides expert opinion in complex personal injury and clinical negligence cases, drawing on extensive hands-on clinical practice and leadership within the field.
Rhiannon began her career in the NHS, progressing to senior and management positions where she developed and led innovative occupational therapy services across orthopaedics, mental health, learning disabilities, and brain injury rehabilitation. In 2009, she entered independent practice, one of the first occupational therapists in Wales to do so and quickly established herself as a respected Case Manager and Expert Witness.
In 2015, Rhiannon founded Stokes Case Management, a nationally recognised company built on her vision for a creative, highly personalised, and collaborative approach to rehabilitation and care. Alongside her role as Managing Director, she continues to maintain a clinical caseload, ensuring her assessments and opinions remain grounded in contemporary practice and client realities.
Rhiannon holds a Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Certificate in Expert Witness Evidence and is experienced in preparing detailed, CPR-compliant reports for both claimant and defendant solicitors throughout the UK. She is known for her clear, balanced analysis, her commitment to professional integrity, and her ability to communicate complex clinical issues with clarity and precision.
Beyond her expert witness work, Rhiannon is deeply engaged in professional education and thought leadership. She is a regular guest lecturer at universities across Wales and a speaker at national and international conferences, sharing her expertise on brain injury rehabilitation, case management, and occupational therapy.
Rhiannon also serves as Chair of the Case Management Society UK (CMSUK), the first Occupational Therapist to hold this position and co-founded The Sketcher Project, a community art initiative in Cardiff for adults with acquired brain injury.
Her work is driven by a belief that collaboration, creativity, and compassion are central to achieving the best possible outcomes for every individual she serves.
